    Hello,

    I am afraid that there is no subject related to marine engineering in UPSC civil service examination subject list. But that should not become a reason for discouragement. Most of the students from engineering background and even IIT students opt for humanities subjects and topped the exam. So, it is not he subject that helps in cracking the exam, but it is what you have in you that will help you to crack this exam. Choose the right optionals by looking at their syllabus and based on your interest. Collect good study material and put your best effort in that subject. If you do this, you will not need any graduation specific subject in UPSC list.
