IPS stands for Indian Police services .It is not a separate exam.It comes under civil services examinations which is conducted by UPSC on same date throughout the country in all the states.It is not that civil services examination is conducted on different dates in different dates.

The important dates for civil services examinations 2013:

Date of notification:02/02/2013

Last date of receiving application:04/03/2013

Date of preliminary examination:19/05/2013

>>Date of main examination:08/11/2013.


For this examination there are certain requirements which are :

>>Bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement.Final year candidates can also apply for the exam.

>>You should be between 21-30 years if belong to general category.Relaxation of five years to sc/st and three years to sc/st respectively.

>>You must be an Indian citizen.

>>SC/ST; no limit.

Dear you should know that IPS - Indian Police Service post is under Central government and UPSC board conduct the separate exam in different steps for this post so that how can we provide you the separate dates for this exam in Hariyana State means Hariyana Government is not responsible to conduct a separate exam for IPS Officer posts because it is under the central government but Hariyana government can conduct it's public service commission exam in which so many posts are under this but IPS post is not under the HPSC exams, and dates are announced by the Hariyana Government so that you should keep visiting at - www.hpsc.gov.in
