    Well dear csat mainly has two papers.
    1.general studies
    2.aptitude test
    for general studies paper you should follow ncert books.you should follow tmh publication book for general science.you should follow a newspaer like'the hindu'for preparation of current affairs.
    You should follow any quantitative aptitude and general english book for the preparation of aptitude paper.

    Watch the news


    Read the general studies books


    Solve the previous year paper


    To read the new topic on the internet and the magazines.


    That is helpful for you in the multiple choice question.

    Tips For Preparation:

    1. Understand the test by going through CSAT Syllabus and CSAT previous year papers.
    2. Read newspapers and magazine it will prepare you for current affairs and take notes of important head lines.
    3. Read books on General Knowledge.
    4. Improve your aptitude.
    5. Solve previous year papers for CSAT.

    Hi friend,

    CSAT stands for Civil Services Aptitude Test. The entrance exam is conducted by Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) for finding the best brains in the country for the recruitment in the Indian Administrative Services or generally called the Civil Services.

    The exam is conducted in two phases - the Preliminary exam, consisting of two objective-type papers (General Studies and Aptitude Test), and the Main exam, consisting of nine papers of conventional (essay) type followed by the Personality Test (Interview).

    Syllabus :-


    Paper I - (200 marks) Duration: Two hours

    * Current events of national and international importance

    * History of India and Indian National Movement

    * Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic geography of
    India and the World.


    * Indian Polity and Governance � Constitution, Political System,
    Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.


    * Economic and Social Development � Sustainable Development, Poverty,
    Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, etc.


    * General issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate
    Change - that do not require subject specialization


    * General Science.



    Paper II- (200 marks) Duration: Two hours

    * Comprehension

    * Interpersonal skills including communication skills

    * Logical reasoning and analytical ability

    * Decision making and problem solving

    * General mental ability

    * Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc.)
    (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data
    sufficiency etc. -Class X level)


    * English Language Comprehension skills (Class X level).

    So read more and more newspapers,magazines in order to increase your G.K.
    Attempt more and more questions to strengthen the Logical Analysis!
    Give mock tests on a regular basis!

    Civil Services Examination is conducted by UPSC every year for the recruitment of candidates for the post of IAS, IRS, IPS.
    You can start from knowing all the required details (syllabus) about Civil Services Exam.

    Exam Format of Civil Services Examination
    The Civil Services Exam is a paper based test and consists of two successive stages:

    All the Civil services exams are conducted by UPSC.
    UPSC conducts various exams like IAS,IPS,IES,CDS,NDA,SCRA,CRPF etc. exams are conducted by UPSC.

    You can apply to some of them after your 12th like NDA and SCRA exams.
    You can apply for the other exams after your graduation degree completion.

    You can get a very good job after you crack any of these exams.

    You will get a very high salary and also many other facilities.
