Dear Friend,
GK question level for UPSC CSAT will be of the highest in the country.
Take it as one of toughest GK questions will be asked in CSAT.
Only brushing up from the top layer of information won't do justice at all.
You have to dig every bit of information about particular subject because you never know from where questions can be asked.
Suppose if I say what you think about Jan Lokpal?
Than most people will say that it will reduce the corruption etc etc.
But If I say how it will reduce the corruption than to tackle that question you need to know what is Jan Lokpal and what are its clauses mentioned in their draft.
How it can reduce corruption, drawbacks etc etc.
Another example like suppose in Olympic a Olympian name George got Gold Medal by breaking the previous record.
than most people will try to remember the current record of George but they can ask you about the the previous record as well.
So you should have all the information about the news you are reading / source you are referring.
Hope it guides you well.
All the best.
Regards.
