Yes you can write civil services exam in your final year of engineering and afterwards.
The Official Notification of the Civil Services Exam clearly states that ''Candidates appearing at the degree examination also eligible to compete subject to certain conditions''.
So you are eligible for the Exam if you also satisfy the age criteria of 21-30 years and your engineering college should be recognized from AICTE.
So start preparing for the upcoming Civil Services Exam.

If you are appearing your engg. final year exam then you can appear upsc cs 2013 exam.
Other Eligibility is
1. graduate from a recognized university, final year student can give the exam
2 age limit
For General - 21 to 30
For OBC - 21 to 33
For SC/ST 21 to 35

you should have to complete your graduation from the recognized university.
AGE CRITERIA:-
age for general candidates should be 21 to 30 years.
age for obc candidates should be 21 to 33 years.
age for sc/st candidates should be 21 to 35 years.

why not friend,you can appear for civil service exam,claiming that you fulfill the required eligibility standards like
-age=21-30 years
-qualification=bachelor degree(any) with no backlogs
-should be medically fit and fine.
civil service exam comprises of:=
a)preliminary exam
b)main exam=only those are allowed to appear for main exam who clears the preliminary exam

Yes, you can write Civil Services Examination.
Because appearing candidate can apply for this exam.
There is minimum educational qualification is Graduate or appearing in final year in graduate candidate can also apply.
But you should show your original document after the written examination. in that case if you are fail, then your candidature will be rejected.
Age should be between 21-30 years
