IAS exam conducted by UPSC the eligibility for the examination is given below:
Age Limitation: Candidate should be between 21-30 years
Age Relaxation
SC/ST 5 years
OBC 3 years
State of Jammu And Cashmir 5 years
Defence Service Personnel 5 years
Ex-Servicemen 5 years
Educational Qualification: Candidate must be Graduate from any recognized university.
Numbers of Attempts:
For General Candidate 4 Attempts
For OBC Candidate 7 Attempts
For SC/ST Candidate Unlimited
Examination Schedule:
It Consists of Preliminary Test (Written Test)
And Main Examination (Written Test and Interview)

UPSC conducts the Civil Services Exams(CSE) every year to make recruitments to 24 Services/posts.
The eligibility criteria for CSE are as follows :
Age Limit :
General Category-21-30yrs
OBC-relaxation by +3yrs
SC/ST-relaxation by +5yrs
Relaxation of age limit is applicable to only reseved category candidates like OBC,SC/ST,
J & K domiciled,Ex-servicemen,Phsycially Handicapped persons,etc.
There is no relaxation of age limit for general category candidates appearing in the CSE.
Educational Qualifications :
Graduation/Equivalent in any discipline from a UGC recognised University.
Final year appearing candidates can apply provisionally.

The age limit is for general category is 21 to 30 years. And attempt the exam 4 times.
The age limit is for obc category is 21 to 33 years (3 years relaxation). Attempt the exam 7 times.
Age limit for SC/ST category is 21 to 35 years and attempt chance till overage. Means no limit
Age relaxation to Physically Handicapped (PH) persons:
Age relaxation of 5 years is allowed (total 10 years for SCs/STs and 8 years for OBCs in respect of the posts reserved for them)
Age relaxation for Meritorious Sports persons
The relaxation in upper age limit upto a maximum of 5 years (10 years for personsbelonging to SC/ST
Communities and 8 years for persons belonging to OtherBackward Classes in respect of posts reservedfor them)
Qualification requirements:-
upsc demand only the graduation in any stream from the recognized university which is approved by the ugc/aicet. the percentage of the marks is no matter for the exam.

Hi, There were no age relaxation for General catogorie aspirants....
Only Age relaxation applicable for OBC is +3 years ,SC/ST +5 years,PWD +10 years only.
Only Graduates are only eligible for IAS ,civil services...
Number of Attepts for General catogorie are:04 attempts only.
So,better to prepare well then only apply for the examination because of a very low number of attempts.......

Exam may be held in the monyh of May/June of every year....
start of applications may be in the month of February/March of every year.....

- IAS which is referred to Indian administrative services, in order to become IAS, You are required to appear in the civil service Examination which is conducted by Upsc.
- You must have the educational qualification of graduation in any stream from an recognised university.
- If you comes under the general category then the age limit is 21 years to 30 years.
- No age relaxations is provided to general category students.
- You only have maximum 4 attempts to clear this examination.
- First there will be an preliminary exam, and then main exam and at last there is an interview.

-If you want to apply for IAS exams then your age must be 21 to 30 years if you are General category candidate. You should be a Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university.
-There is age relaxation for SC/ST for 5 years means they can give exam till 35 years of age.
-For OBC relaxation is 3 years means they can give exam till 33 years of age.
-There is attempt limit also for IAS exams. For general category the number of attempts is 4 and for OBC it is 7 .
-For SC/ST number of attempts is not restricted they can give exam until their age limit exceeds.

Its only for Reserved Categories.
For UPSC civil Services you have to give CSAT examination.
CSAT stands for civil services aptitude test.
This is preliminary examination.
After you qualify in the prelims you give Mains exam.
Successful candidates are called for an Interview after you qualify in both the exams.
Eligibility for Civil services exam:-
Graduation is required with 1st or 2nd division from a recognized University.
Final year appearing candidates can also give the exam.
Any stream students can appear for the exam.
AGE LIMIT:-
It is 21 to 30 yrs for General category.
There is an upper age limit relaxation given in case of reserved categories;
For SC/ST - 5 yrs.
For OBC - 3 yrs
For PH - 10 yrs.
NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS:-
It is 4 in case of GENERAL.
OBC has 7 number of attempts.
SC/ST have unlimited no. of attempts till they attain the age of 35 yrs.
