    hey.. i have done mba in finance and m.com. can i apply for ISS exam??

    Hello friend ,

    Yes you can apply for the ISS exam conducted by UPSC


    Eligibility for ISS is as follows


    1)Nationality:-He/She must be a citizen of INDIA or NEPAL or BHUTAN.


    2)Age Limit:Betwenn 21 and 30 years at the time of appearing for exams.


    3)Only the Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation / Higher Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate as on the date of submission of IES ISS Exam applications are accepted by the UPSC.




    The examination comprises of 06 Papers such as General English, General Study, Statistics I, II & III and Indian Economics.


    This is one of the best opportunities for Economics students

    Sorry but you are not eligible to apply for the INDIAN STATISTICAL SERVICE EXAMS.
    The eligibility criteria for the same is :
    - YOU MUST BE A CITIZEN OF INDIA.
    - YOU MUST BE OF 21-30 YRS OF AGE,UPPER AGE LIMIT BEING RELAXABLE BY 5YRS FOR SC/ST AND BY 3YRS FOR OBC.
    -YOU MUST HOLD A DEGREE OF POST-GRADUATION IN STATISTICS,APPLIED STATISTICS OR MATHEMATICAL STATISTICS,FROM AN UGC RECOGNIZED UNIVERSITY OR BE A FINAL YEAR STUDENT IN THE SAME.

    Therefore,you do not fulfil the educational qualifications and you are not eligible to apply.

    THIS EXAM IS CONDUCTED U.P.S.C.

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

    Educational Qualification:-
    -- CANDIDATES MUST BE A POST GRADUATE HOLDER WITH ANY ONE OF THESE DISCIPLINE STATISTICAL, APPLIED STATISTICS, MATHEMATICAL STATISTICS.
    -- CANDIDATE MUST BE A POST GRADUATE DEGREE HOLDER FROM RECOGNIZED UNIVERSITY.
    -- FINAL YEAR CANDIDATES OF A POST GRADUATE DEGREE HOLDER WITH ANY ONE DISCIPLINE CAN ALSO APPLY.

    Citizenship:-

    as a mba finance you are not eligible for the exam of iss

    the following qualification is required for iss


    education qualification post graduation degree in statistical or in mathematics
    result awaiting student can also apply

    age is 21 year to 30 year

    candidate should be an indian citizen


    the important date for applying for test


    notification date august
    last date september
    date of exam december
    duration of exam 3 days

    The Eligibility Conditions to apply for upsc ISS Exam is follows:
    1. You must be a citizen of India.

    2. Age Limit:
    Age should be 21-30 years on 1st January of the year of the examination.
    Certain categories have age relaxation as mentioned below:
    SC/ST � 5 Years
    OBC � 3Years.
    PWD � 10 Years.

    3.Educational Qualification:
    Post Graduate Degree from a recognised university in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics
    Note: Candidates appearing in qualifying degree exams are also eligible but provisionally subject to producing proof of passing along with Detailed Application Form.

    * The Acronym "ISS" stands for Indian Statistical Services.


    * The ISS Exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.

    The Eligibility Criteria for ISS Exam are :

    * You must have completed your Post - Graduation in any one of the following :

    a) Statistics

    b) Applied Statistics

    c) Mathematical Statistics


    * Your age should lie in between 21-30 years.


    * You must be a citizen of India or Subject to Nepal or Bhutan.


    * There is also a relaxation in upper age of 3 years for students belonging to OBC Category and of 5 years for students belonging to SC/ST Category.

    Relaxation for

    Part-II (Interview)
