1.a graduate or final year degree candidate from a recognized university in any discipline can write cse conducted by upsc twice in a year.
2.as far as the age eligibility is concern cse reaquires 21 to 30 years for gen.category.
3.relaxations are there for obc 21 to 33 years s/c s/t 21 years to 35 years.
4.to clear cse each gen.candidate get's 4 attempts,each obc candidate requires 7 years and s/c s/t no limit.

If you have a bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 50% marks and 45% marks in case of SC/STs and your age is between 21-30 year then you can apply for UPSC exams for civil services and relaxation in age as per 5 years for SC/STs and 3 years for OBCs
There are three steps in this exam which are following :
Paper I - Objective type paper - two papers in once day and contains 400 marks means each 200 marks
Paper II - Descriptive type paper - 7 papers are there and one paper would be for any indian language which would be selected and second paper would be for english which contains 200 marks and third paper would be for essay writing and other 4 paper are for your specialization subject which you have chosen from the list and excluding to english paper all 6 papers contains 300-300 marks so the total becomes - 2000 marks
Interview Process - 300 marks and selection depends on the number of vacancies.
