    Hey there...

Being a graduate from history background is feather in your cap(or say preparation).
For Prelims you'll have general knowledge and aptitude and english. As you already studied history you will have an edge over the others as you must have covered some parts during your college time...

As for the mains, you have to opt 2 subjects. You can opt for History with any other combination say anthropology, administration etc...
Your prime focus here can be your other optional as you will already be aware of most of the topics covered in history. You have to choose well your other subject so that it compliments history...

    All the best!

    dear friend,

For UPSC Civil Services Exam you have to appear in Prelims, mains exam.

    Subjects For Prelims:

General Studies, English and logical and reasoning type questions

    Subjects For Mains:

    1. One Indian language
    2. English
    3. General Studies
    4. Two Optional Subject

You can choose History and geography as two optional subjects for UPSC Civil Services Mains Exam. As you have studied these exams which would be beneficial for you.

    Good Luck......
