What are my chances to pass UPSC Civil Services Exam (Interview) if I completed B.Tech in 6 years instead of 4 due to a medical surgery (Hernia)?
I took 6yrs to complete BE(which is 4yrs actually), I had to undergo a surgery(Hernia).
Will this hinder my chances of passing UPSC civil services exam(in interview). Please do reply!
Thanks in advance!

Hello,
Since you have a good reason to justify your situation, you will stand the same chances as any other candidate as far as interview is concerned. In interview, there is no good or bad answers. The board members look for those individuals who can justify the good as well as the bad things. So, everything depends on how well you give justifications and since you have good reason for you situation, you need not worry as far as interview is concerned.
But, you need to check if candidates with a history of hernia would be able to pass medical test. I am more than 95% sure that you won't be considered for technical posts like IPS, IRTS etc because of hernia.
Thanks,

Hello, there is no problem that you have completed your degree in 6 years instead of 4 years, the most importanat thing is that you have completed your degree. You may have problem regarding to the IPS post as there will be some medical conditions for this technical post. Otherwise there is nothing to worry.
