Eligibility for IAS Officer Examination 2013

All applicants should have passed bachelor's degree examination of a recognized university and minimum 3 year bachelor's degree course or any other equivalent qualification

There is no percentage marks required to apply for this examination and final year pursuing candidate are also eligible to apply

Age should be minimum 21 years and not more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines that is 3 years for OBCs and 5 years for SC/ST

If you have completed your bachelor's degree of Engineering in 6 years then also you do not need to worry about this exam because you have completed your degree from a reputed university that approved your degree so you are 100% eligible to apply for this examination

Without wasting precious time you should think about the preparation of this examination because if you will prepare for next year's IAS examination 2014 then you will have enough time to get prepared and practiced for upcoming IAS Preliminary Examination so I hope you will start your preparation soon by using good books and if possible then you should take the help of any good coaching institute that provides full study for this exam and surely you will get selection but you need to give more time for preparation and think about only your goal so you will get it soon

For more details about this examination - Selection Procedure, application process, examination pattern, complete syllabus etc. you can download this attached notification and prepare well for this exam and visit at www.upsc.gov.in for latest details

    All the best

    Hello

YES YOU ARE VERY MUCH ELIGIBLE FOR APPLYING IN CIVIL SERVICES.

The minimum qualification required is Graduation from any stream.
As you have done B.TECH,then you are a Graduate, hence you can apply.

Also only someone who have current backlogs will have problems in applying. But having a history of backlog is not a problem.

The minimum qualification required is Graduation,if someone completes his engineering in 6 years,he still is a engineer and obviously a graduate too.
Hence there is no problem for applying.
