What is the Physical Requirements to Join CDS exam?

Sir,
my hand was broken from elbow in my childhood but it works well now. I want to know that still am I eligible for the CDS Exam?

the central defense service physical requirement are given below.


candidate age should be 16.5 to 19 years
candidate should be physically fit
candidate's eye sight should be 6/6
the joints and the boons of the candidate should be physically fit.
Candidate should be mentally sound and healthy.
The weight of the candidate should be according to his/ her hight
the height of the candidate should be 157cm or above.
In the case of the male candidate and female candidate the hight and weight are differ from each other

PHYSICAL CRITERIA FOR C.D.S. EXAM:-

-- Running : 2 to 4 km. in 15 minutes
-- Skipping, push ups & sit-ups: minimum 20 each
-- Chin ups: minimum 8
-- Rope climbing: 3 to 4 meters
-- Candidate must be good physical & mental health & free from serious disease.
-- There must not be any bodily defects or over weights or under weights.
-- The minimum height is 157.5 cms. 157 cms for navy & 162.5 cms for air force.
-- For female candidates the minimum height required is 152 cms.
-- Height & weight standards:-


-- Don't have wax in ears, refractory error of eyes & fungal infection of skin.
-- Chest should be well developed. The minimum range of expansion is 5 c.m after full inspiration.
-- No bone and joint diseases.
-- Candidate must not have mental break down & fits.
-- Hearing must be normal.
-- Blood pressure should be normal.
-- Candidate must be free from AIDS.
-- Candidate must not have any evidence of disease of internal organs of abdomen.
-- Free from skin disease.
-- There should be no piles, varicocele.
-- Eye sight is 6/6. Myopia should not be more than 3.5D.
-- Teeth should be normal & sound.
-- X-ray exam of the chest will include the lower part of cervical spine for presence of cervical ribs.
-- Speed test : Whispered hearing 610 cms. each ear.
-- Routine ECG & EEG should be normal.
-- Candidates must not have granulomatous disease of spine.
-- Candidates must not have cervical ribs with demonstrable neurological or Circulatory deficit.

I guess you may get rejected during medical test because of your broken arm.

Physical standard required are:

1. The candidate must be in good physical and mental health and free from any disease
2. The minimum acceptable height for male candidates is 157.5 cms. For Women candidates minimum acceptable height is 152 cms.
3. There should be no disease of bones and joints of the body.
4. The hearing should be normal
5. A male candidate should be able to read 6/6 in a distant vision chart with each eye with or without glasses. For women candidates the minimum acceptable visual acuity are Distant Vision (corrected) better eye 6/6, worse 6/18.
6. A candidate should be able to recognize red and green colors

2. Age should be 19-23 yrs.
3. Must be citizen of India.
4. Should be physically fit & strong.

HI,

Physical Requirements is mandatory for CDS but your must be strong and fit is need to apply.

CDS stands for Combined Defence Services.

For giving CDS exam you must have done your graduation from a recognized University.

Final Year candidates can also apply for the exam.

Eligibility Criteria for CDS

Educational qualification:

For IAF and INA: B.Sc with Math and Physics or Engineering
degree

For IMA and OTA: graduation in any discipline

Age Limit:

for INA: 19 years to 22 years
for IAF: 19 years to 23 years
for IMA: 19 years to 24 years
for OTA: 19 years to 25 years

CDS is the Combined defense services.It is one of the entrance examinations which offers you chance to join the Defense in its various academies at good ranks .This examination is organised twice every year.

For this examination,you need to be a bachelor degree holder in any discipline from a recognized university.If you are in final year then also you can give this examinations.

The age limitations are :

Indian Military academy:19-24 years

Indian Air force academy:19-23 years

Officer's Training academy:19-25 years

Indian Naval academy:19-22 years

You must be an Indian citizen.
