UPSC CSAT is a new pattern of exam from 2011. You need to work on your practise skills and time-management.

To prepare for CSAT pattern you have to practise Aptitude Based questions and English under various heads like :-
Comprehension, Interpersonal Skills, Logical Reasoning and Analyitical Ability, Decision-Making and Problem-Solving, General Mental Ability(GMA), Basic Numeracy and Data Interpretation and English Language Comprehension Skills.

One of the Best books I would suggest is General-Studies Paper-2 for Civil Services Preliminary Examination published by Tata Mc Graw Hill Series.
There are other books too like Spectrum, Agarwal......

If you practise well and take some test-series to finish within the alotted time you can score very well in Paper-2 and hope to pass through the Preliminary level exam with flying colours.
