    Can I give UPSC exam at the age of 35 under general category while serving in Indian Army?

    iam still servicing in indian army and age 35 under gen cat. which all streams can i

    Dear sir,
    serving the Indian army, you can appear for UPSC .
    as we have civil services for IAS, IPS, IFS etc.
    you have to appear in Limited Competetive examination.
    It is for IPS.

    You should have attained rank of Captain or Major in army for this,

    But as your age is 35 as you mentinoed. YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR IT AS
    YOU ARE FROM GENERAL CATEGORY AND YOUR AGE LIMIT HAS CROSSED.

    below I am attaching the last notification of Limited competetive examination.
    its last date was in april 2012
    . Candiates born after 2 august 1977 were eligible.ips_eng.pdf

    Hi Aspirant

    Upsc is conducting the civil services exam every year

    And you can appear in the exam if you are filling the

    Criteria for the exam as for the exam the candidate

    First should be pass in the degree of the Graduation from

    A recognized Indian university and also the final year candidates can also apply for the exam


    Age Limit :

    >> The Candidate age should be between 21-30

    >> The age relaxation for the obc of 3 years

    >> The age relaxation given to the sc,st 5 years

    >> The Age relaxation to the ph is 10 years

    >> The age relaxation given to the ex serviceman is 5 years


    Attempts :

    > 4 chances general

    > 7 chances obc

    > Unlimited attempts sc,st

    yes,
    you can appear for upsc.
    generally the general category person can appear for upsc exam up to 30 years,but you are served for indian army,so you have 5 years age relaxiation
    but you have one chance to write the upsc exam
    more details is given below
    eligibility for upsc;-

    educational qualification;-
    the person must be graduate
    age limits;-
    general-21 to 30 years-4 chances to write the exam
    obc-21 to 33 years-7 chances to write the exam
    sc/st-21 to 35 years-no limit to write the exam
    exservice man-21 to 35 years
    physical handicaped-21 to 40 years

    interview

    Yes off course you can apply for UPSC EXAM.


    ELIGIBILITY FOR UPSC:-

    you should have to passed graduate / final year appearing from the recognized university.

    you must be an INDIAN.


    AGE LIMITS:-

    general = 21 to 30 years
    obc = 21 to 30 years + 3 years relaxation
    sc/st = 21 to 30 + 5 years relaxation
    ex-servicemen = 21 to 30 + 5 years relaxation.
