as we have civil services for IAS, IPS, IFS etc.
you have to appear in Limited Competetive examination.
It is for IPS.
You should have attained rank of Captain or Major in army for this,
But as your age is 35 as you mentinoed. YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR IT AS
YOU ARE FROM GENERAL CATEGORY AND YOUR AGE LIMIT HAS CROSSED.

ELIGIBILITY FOR UPSC:-
you should have to passed graduate / final year appearing from the recognized university.
you must be an INDIAN.
AGE LIMITS:-
general = 21 to 30 years
obc = 21 to 30 years + 3 years relaxation
sc/st = 21 to 30 + 5 years relaxation
ex-servicemen = 21 to 30 + 5 years relaxation.
