The examination pattern of civil services examination is discussed below:
First of all you have to qualify the preliminary examination.Preliminary examination is of qualifying nature.When you qualify in this exam you are taken to next level that is main examination.Preliminary examination consists of two paper.Paper I will consists question on General Studies and Paper II will consists questions on English Comprehension and Reasoning and aptitude .Each paper is of 2 hrs duaration consisting of 200 marks each and MCQ type questions.

The main examination consists of written examination and Interview Test .The format of written examination is given below:
