i am doing engineering in 2nd yr from EC branch and i want to join INDIAN DEFENCE SERVICES . i want to kow differnt post and differnt exam criteria for different exams for different air force and navy for girls..plz do guide for the above given details and diffent qualificatios.???

Well you can join in Indian after completion of your graduation through CDS exam.
CDS stands for Combined Defence Academy.
It is conducted by UPSC Union Public Service Comission.
This exam is conducted for following wings
1. Indian Army
2. Indian Navy
3. Indian Airforce and
4. OTA (Officer Training Academy).
The following are the eligible criteria for wrtining this exam
»» You must be a graduate
»» You must be an Indian
»» Your age must lie between
+ Indian Army & Navy : 19 - 24 years
+ Indian Airforce : 19 - 23 years
+ OTA : 19 - 25 years.
Both male and female candidates have same eligible criteria.

Girls are eligible to apply for CDS (Combined Defense Services)
His exam will hold twice in a year which is conducted by U.P.S.C (Union Public Service Commission).
You can join Indian army through the O.T.A (Officer training academy). For female entry
>> Age: Your age should be 19 to 25 years.
>> Educational qualification:
you should be graduate form a recognized university
N.C.C (Special) Entry Women:
>> Age: - Your age should be between 19 to 25 years
>> Educational qualification:
You must be Graduate in any Discipline with 50% marks and 2 years’ Service in N.C.C Senior Div. Army with Minimum 'B' grade in 'C' Certificate Exam.
For Engineer Entry through Short service Commission Technical Women
>> Age: - Your age should be 20 to 27 Years
>> Educational qualification:
You should be engineering in notified Discipline from a recognized university.

f you are a girl and you like to apply for the defence services then you need to go for the CDS examination because this is the examination which is suitable for the girls.
Because girls are not eligible for the NDA examination so they are allowed after the graduation to apply for the CDS examination.
CDS stands for the combined defence services examination which is conducted twice in a year.

If you want to go for the airforce or navy then physics and maths is required in the graduation.
Age criteria is like this.

The best way for the girls to join defense services at good officer post in different wings of defense is through the Combined defense services .It is conducted twice every year by the UPSC.
The eligibility criteria for the Combined defense services :
1.Academic requirement:
>>Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university is the minimum requirement.
>>For Indian Air force ,mathematics and physics at 10+2 level is compulsory .
>>For Indian Navy ,bachelor's degree in engineering and technology is required.
2.Age criteria:
The age limit for the different academies is :
Indian Military academy:19-24 years
Indian Naval academy:19-22 years
Officer's training academy:19-25 years
Indian Air force academy:19-23 years
3.For this exam both unmarried male and female candidates can also apply.
4.Examination pattern:

Age limit : 19-24 Iindian Military Academy,19-23 Air force,19-25 Training academy,19-22 Naval Academy
Candidate should have completed any degree in any government recognized university for IMA and OTA, B.Sc in Physics and maths or B.E for NA, B.Sc in Physics or maths or B.E for Air force...
Candidate should be a Indian citizen...
Candidates can apply even when they are in final year also...
