    Re: Is CDS a good option for 2nd year B.Sc students?

    hi dear,
    yes ofcourse its a good choice.still you need to be very cautious while taking any such decission.becuase these lines are drastically different from that of a common job oriented stream.you need to be solely dedicted towards your country irrespective of anything else.first you yourself analyse whether you are mentally,physically and socially determined or not.then if you get "yes" as the answer then go for it without a second thought.
    age limit are as follows
    1.air force-19 years to 23 years
    2.navy-19 years to 22 years
    3.military-19 years to 24 years
    4.officer's training academy-19 years to 25 years.
    again for navy and airforce you need to be a graduate in science related field and for the other two you need to be any graduate.in both cases your graduation must have been done under a recognized university.best of luck.

    Re: Is CDS a good option for 2nd year B.Sc students?

    Dear Friend,

    The Acronym "CDS" stands for Combined defense Services Examination. This examination is conducted by the Union public service Commission every year.

    this examination is conducted under the names of CDS-I & CDS-II in the months of February and December every year.

    this Examination provides platform to candidates to join the following wings of Indian Defense :

    * Indian Militant Academy

    * Naval Academy

    * Indian Air Force

    * Officers Training Academy

    The Qualifications Required for CDS Exam include :

    * The candidate must hold a Bachelor`s Degree from any UGC recognized university.

    * the candidate must have Mathematics as one of the subjects in graduation.

    * The age limit is 18-24 years.

    * No Relaxation in age is given to candidate no matter they belong to any category.

    * The candidate must be mentally and physically fit.

    * the candidate must be an Indian.

    Now from the above mentioned , its quite clear that there is no way out for the candidates who are in 2nd year of B.Sc to appear in the CDS Exam.

    So , i suggest you to think about CDS Exam when you will be in the final year of graduation or after the completion of graduation.

    This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want.
