The notification of the exam is declare by the upsc in month of the January or February -2013.
You have the one month to fill the application form after release the notification of the exam.
The preliminary exam is held in the month of the may.
The qualification is required for the exam is graduation in any stream from the approved university.
The percentage of the marks and higher qualification is no matter for the exam.
The age limit for the exam is the 21 to 30 years.
Age relaxation for OBC category is the 3 years and sc/st category is 5 years.
The attempt of the exam for the unreserved category is the 4 time, for obc 3 time, for sc/st no limit

For getting into UPSC you have to appear for Civil services examination.
Civil Services examination in 2 stages:
Written exam
Interview
Written Exam is further conducted in 2 stages :
CSAT( Civil Services Aptitude Test) Preliminary Exam
Mains exam
After you qualify in both the written exams you are called for Interview.
The correct date is not announced yet but approximately it will be announced in month of February.
