Hello Friend,

As per UPSC examination calendar for 2013, prelims will be held on 19 May' 2013 and mains exam will commence on 8 Nov'2013. Prelims generally takes place in the month of May and mains in Oct/Nov every year. However, the decision of UPSC is final in deciding the schedule for exams.
