UPSC conducts civil service examination every year on the month of may ( 2nd sunday) .the notification is generally issued in january or february. Candidates have to apply only after the notification is issued. The mode to apply is online only through upsconline.nic.in. You have to fill the application form online and upload scanned images of your photo and signature. from last year, UPSC stopped selling application forms through post offices. you also have to pay application of fee 50 rs. either through debit cars, net banking or deposit amount in sbi account of UPSC and provide that challan number in application form.

The IPS exam is carried out by the UPSC every year through the Civil service exam.


this is a national level exam and candidates with graduation from any field is eligible to apply.


The application for the preliminary exam will be available for sale in the designated centers from 19th February 2011

onwards.


The last date to submit the application form is on 21st of March.


The date of the exam is also declared by the UPSC, this falls on 12th of June which is a Sunday.

IPS is a post not a exam . to become an IPS officer you must clear the CSAT exam and this exam is conducted by UPSC once in a year.

for Filling the form of CSAT you can fill it online and there it will open in same date in all over India.

last date of submission: 04/03/2013
Date of prelim exam. 19/05/2013

Generally UPSC invites application for the civil services exam in the month of February and one can apply for this exam within one month. there are two modes of applying offline and online. To apply through online visit www.upsc.gov.in and make fee payment through Debit card, Credit card and net banking. You can apply online after opening the line from anywhere in India.
