NDA stands for National Defence Academy.
I would like to tell you that NDA is conducted by UPSC twice in a year & it has already been conducted for the year 2012.
You can join Airforce through NDA exam.
So if you want to join Airforce now you will have to appear for NDA exam for the next year i.e, 2013.
NDA I notification is going to be out in the month of December which would be held in
To appear for NDA you should have completed 10+2 with PCM as compulsory subject.
Appearing candidates may also apply for the exam.

Minimum age is 16.5 yrs & maximum age is 19yrs to be eligible for the exam.
You are selected finally for Airforce in 3 stages:

you can join indian air force through the NDA EXAM.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR NDA EXAM:-
you should have to passed 12th class from the recognized board.
age should be 16.5 to 19 years.
age relaxation as per normal govt rules.
you must be an INDIAN.

National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination is conducted twice each year by UPSC.
The eligibility conditions for this Exam are:
For Army Wing of National Defence Academy : - 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University
For Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA and for 10+2 (Cadet Entry Scheme) at Naval Academy : 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University
Age limit: 16.5-19 years.
You should also note that only Unmarried Male candidates are eligible for this exam.
The Selection process has three stages:
A written exam which is followed by an interview and then a medical fitness test.
