Dear there is no age to start preperation for the IAS examination ,it depends on you that how much dedicated towards the goal.If you have decided that you want to become an IAS officer then you should not wait for the examination date or the completion of the graduation just start doing the preperation because there is nothing out of this world going to come in the examination.Whatever you have learnt till class 12th you need to revise all the things because the first 2 papers of CSAT will include the syllabus of the class 6 to 12 .Moreover you can read the english newspaper like the hindu everyday as a bible because this is the newspaper that consist all the content related to the civil services examination. If you read the hindu every day then you will see the difference in your knowledge, mainly you need to read the editorial section of the newspaper. After CSAT you need to go for the MAINS examination and for that in first paper you need to select the language of your choice from the 18 languages. Then you need to give the paper of english and after tha again general studies. Finally you need to choose any two optional subjects for last 4 papers.then you will be able to qualify the examination. So dont think that by preperation of 2 or 3 months you will crack that.for more details log on to www.upsc.gov.inthank you.
