Will the SCRA exam be held again in july 2012? why it is used to held twice before this year?

1. will SCRA exam be held again in july 2012? if not,why it used to held twice before this year.

Threr is no notification in the side of UPSC.If you want exam date of SCRA then go to the site of www.upsc.gov.in. and check regularly

No Exam will not take place in july 2012.
UPSC conducts SCRA only once in a year and for 2012 it has already been conducted on 29.01.2012..only before 2010 it used to be conducted in alternate years..so for the next exam you will have to wait for 2013..till then prepare well and all the best!!

finallyno friend ,special class railway apprentices exam (SCRA) will not held July 2012 because it already being held 29 January for 2012 , it depend upon as per candidates need by indian railway.

because they provide training to selected candidates and selected candidates can contribute indian railway operations..

in this year 2012 scra exam to be hold on 29 january 2012. and not a twice exam scra in this year.

Due to the very limited no. Of seats to be filled,SCRA exams are now conducted only once in an year now.
This year the exams were held on 29th Jan and similar dates are expecter for 2013 too.

Dear friend It was held twice in the previous year because there were only 32 seats all over the state of india but now the seats are increased to 60 and so the twice held exams became single from this year I hope it helps Happy to help Thanks and visit again

NO, for the second SCRA exam there is no notification by the upsc.

there is limited seats in the SCRA ,so earlier in previous years(before 2010) it was conducted in alternate years. thereafter need of increase in number of candidates for the railways,that led the RAILWAYS to conduct the SCRA twice a year. But with the increase in the training facilities to train increase in number of students at the same time that led the RAILWAYS to conduct it again anually ,that's why they conduct it only ONCE this year.


Though still it is not being clear by UPSC whether they conduct twice or not this year so visit regularily for the same at www.upsc.gov.in


but in the UPSC EXAMINATION CALENDAR OF YEAR 2012, there is nothing mentioned to take it twice,So you have to wait for 2013 notification for SCRA.

when recruitment of seat and applicant are more then only the exam is held twice time!

Actaully, It depends on the requirement by the INDIAN RAILWAYS. Some it is held only once, and some time it is held twice.

SCRA (Special Class Railway Apprentices) is conducted for one time in a year.
and in this year(2012) it is already conducted 29,January,2012.
and the Next UPSC SCRA exam will held in next year 2013.
