What are the preferences in INDIAN CIVIL SERVICES fr an Engineer who have qualified in GATE Exam.?

I am sorry but there is no preference given to you if you are a GATE topper. Because it is completely a different exam for different purpose.
Only the candidates performing well and hard working would be able to get selected in the upsc IAS exam
