Dear
SC/ST category students don't get any reservation in prelims and mains except SCRA.
Only deserving candidates are selected for IAS and other exams.
The only benefit that category students get is age relaxation and and on number of attempts.
Thank You
The only reservation for SC/ST category is for age and for number of attempts and not for prelims or others.
For age 21-35 yrs and for number of attempts unlimited till you attain the upper age limit.
The main benefit reserved category candidates as OBC SC and ST candidate gets in Civil service prelims is that their cutoff marks are much lower than General candidates. The cutoff marks required to pass the prelims are different for different categories. They do not get any benefit other than that regarding the prelims.
Dear,
The cut-off marks in the preliminary written result for the CSAT is same. There is no reservation at the time of declaring the written result. There is other relaxation for SC/ST/OBC. There is relaxation in age limit and the final result is declared according to the reservation. And at the time of final result, it will be decided in a relax level. you can visit www.upsc.gov.in Thanks...
Friend, please note that# There is no any reservation for reserved categories in the preliminary examination and mains examination.# Final selection list is prepared purely on merit. Selection list is prepared on the basis of combined score in the mains examination and performance in the UPSC Interview.# Candidate of reserved category can availed the facility of age relaxation and number of attempts only. And no any other benefit given to them.
