    Hi
I am sorry but being in the polytechnical college, you are not allowed to give the NDA exam, which is conducted by the upsc twice in an year.
Because for giving the NDA exam, you need to be a 12th class passed or appeared student, and not any equivalent course is allowed like polytechnic or diploma.
And as you have not appeared in class 12th, you are not allowed to give the NDA exam.
For more details you can even log onto the official website of upsc
    www.upsc.gov.in

    Dear friend,

Sorry , you are not eligible for NDA exam.

For NDA minimum qualification is required that candidate must be passed 12th in PCM and also can apply in 12th.

Polytechnic students are not eligible for NDA exam.

    Age Limit :

Candidate must be under 16.5-19 years.

    >> candidate should not be married.

    >> Only male candidate are eligible.

    Good Luck

Eligibility for NDA - National Defense Academy Examination

Indian Army - Should have passed class 12th in any stream from a reputed board

Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy - Both of these academies requires same qualification which is - Passed in Higher/Senior Secondary Examination of a recognized board with mathematics and physics as necessary subjects at this level

Candidate who are awaited for final exam result may also apply for this examination and only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for NDA examination

Age criteria is changed according to the notification of both NDA I and NDA II that is why there is no exact criteria for age but according to the notification - All candidates who have completed 16 years of age and not more than 18-18.5 years may apply for this examination and upper age relaxation is not allowed for any category candidate

If you have completed your Polytechnic diploma after completing 12th class in relevant subject then you are eligible and if having after 10th class then also you can apply for all sections of this examination that is why do not worry and prepare for this exam

This year's NDA II is going to be conducted at 11-08-2013 and you should wait for next NDA I 2014 and before that you should get prepared for this test by using your books and mainly prefer - NCERT and CBSE +II level books and other books provided by various publishers

    All the best
