    Am I eligible for Civil Services Exam after completing B.Tech?

    Respected Sir

    please guide me if being completed B.Tech can i give the exam of Civil Services.

    I also request to please also suggest the subjects that i can take?

    Yes friend, you are eligible for Civil Services Exam.

    This exam is conducted by UPSC every year for the post of IAS, IES, IPS etc..,

    Eligibility criteria for this exam :-

    > The candidate must be a citizen of India.

    > The age limit of candidate must be between 21 to 30 years.

    There is also a age relaxation provided to SC/ ST/ OBC category candidate as per government rule.

    upper age limit relaxation :-

    1] For OBC :- 3 years

    2] for SC/ ST :- 5 years.

    > The candidate must be passed his/ her graduation from any recognized university.

    Selection procedure for this exam :-

    > Preliminary exam

    > Main exam

    > Personal interview

    ofcourse you are eligible.
    The minimum eligibility criteria is as follows:
    1.You must be an Indian citizen,
    2.You must posses a bachelor degree.
    3.Your age must lie inbetween 21 to 30 years if you belong to general category.

    The subjects you can take depends on your engineering branch and your choice.

    yes, sir you can apply for Civil Services Exam that is conducted by UPSC after completing B.Tech. You can also apply for the exam while appearing in final year of your B.Tech.
    Civil Services Exam is conducted for the posts of IAS, IPS, IRS etc .


    Eligibility Criteria For Civil Services:

    >>you must have completed or appearing in final year of graduation.

    >>your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is relaxation in upper age limit up to 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.



    Limit Number Of Attempts:

    >>General category: 4 attempts

    >>OBC category: 7 attempts

    >>SC/ST category: No Limit




    Important dates of Civil Services exam in 2013:


    CSAT(Prelims):

    date of Notification:05.03.2013

    last date of receipt of application:04.04.2013

    date of exam:26.05.2013



    Mains:

    date of exam:01-12-2013

    Yes,of course you are eligible for Civil service exams after completing B.tech.
    UPSC conduct the exams like IAS,IPS,IFS,IRS through civil service.

    Educational Qualification:
    Graduation in any discipline is the minimum educational qualification required to apply for the exam.
    The students of final year are also eligible for apply the exam.

    You are a B.tech degree holder.So,you are also eligible for civil service exams conducted by UPSC.

    You are Eligible for civil services exam after B.tech.

    Exam Eligibility;-

    1-You must be passed a graduate degree from a Indian recognized university
    2-There is no percentage requirement
    3-Appearing in final year candidates are also eligible.

    Age limits;-

    General age limits is 21-30 years. Age relaxation is given reserved category students.

    Selection Process;-

    Preliminary exam, Mains exam and Interview.

    Important Dates;-

    Preliminary exam ;-26th May 2013

    Mains exam;-1th Dec 2013

    yes you can apply for it after btech as graduates can apply for it...

    For subjects you can check it out at www.upsc.gov.in and you need to take those subjects which you feel are easy for you to learn and you are quite confident at.

    Hi Friend,

    Yes, You can apply the IAS Exam, Because for UPSC Exam minimum education qualification is Graduation in any field from Recognized University.

    Final Year Candidate can also apply from UPSC Exam, but candidate should verify before mains exam if candidate Clears prelims exam.

    >> You have done B.tech and is a Valid Degree.

    >> Age limit is 21-30 years

    >> You can give Following times Attempt according to Category:

    General Category: 4 Attempts

    OBC: 7 Attempts

    PH: 7 Attempts

    SC/ST: No Limits

    You are eligible.The minimum qualification is Graduation from any stream from recognised University.You can also apply for engineering services as well.The selection of paper for mains is upto you.If you are from Civil,mechanical or Electrical you can have your branch papers as your Mains subject which may be relatively easier for you if you do not want to start a new subject for the mains.If you are from some other stream,you will have to select some other paper based upon your choice and also your knowledge in the subjects.You can check the website of UPSC for list of subjects as well as for the previous year papers for all the subjects to get a decent knowledge about the level
