Dear pal,
- Being a bachelor degree holder in engineering you can apply for the Indian Engineering service which is conducted under the disciplines namely civil, mechanical, electrical, electronics and telecommunication. But it is not necessary that you need to have degree in the above disciplines.
- As the exam is held in four disciplines others need to prepare in these disciplines. The pattern of the exam is that you need to appear in five papers each carrying two hundred marks.
- Of which first paper is general and two paper is of objective type and the other two are descriptive type. Securing the top ranks you will be called for Personnel interview and allotted your post.
- Other than IES you can also apply for IAS the qualification required for which being a bachelor degree. There is three stages of selection preliminary test, main exam and followed by it is personnel interview.
