Am I eligible for IES exam after completing B.Tech in E & T in 2011 from JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University? Is my degree valid for any other state exams?
Sir i have completed B.Tech.(E&T) in 2011 from JRN Rajasthan vidyapeeth university . i want to go in indian engineering service exam ie.(IES) by UPSC. Please tell me is it valid for upsc . Sir i will thankful for this. is it valued for other state exam. [email protected]

IES is an engineering services exam, candidates having engineering degree are eligible to appear in this exam. this exam is mainly for ELECTRICAL, MECHANICAL AND CIVIL.definitely U r also eligible to appear in this exam bt as u said ur branch is electronics and telecommunication, this is not included as optional subject so u must have to select from the above mentioned subjects.
also many government jobs available for EC/ET engineers in BHEL, SAIL, BSNL, NTPC, RAILWAYS, AIRPORT ATHORITY OF INDIA, NUCLEAR POWER PLANT , ISRO, MTNL etc.Many companies recruit on the base of Gate score. So it will be a better option for u to prepare for GATE exam.

If your University is fully recognized from UGC i.e. University Grants Commission and AICTE, i.e. All India Council of Technical Education then you are fully eligible for the IES exam i.e. Engineering Services examination.

IN THAT SECTION IT IS ASKED THAT WHICH TYPE OF ENGINEERING STUDENT CAN FILL UP THE FORM OF IES. You should fill the form online at www.upsc.gov.in.
The form is fill up in April Month of every year. The Age limit for UPSC exam is 21 to 30 years on 1 August of Exam Year i.e. If you are appearing in 2012 UPSC exam then your age should between 2 August 1982 to 1 August 1991.

-If the university from where you have completed your BTech in Electronics and Telecommunication is recognized by the Authorized body,then there are no reasons why you cannot appear the INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICE Exams conducted by the UPSC every year,since the subject in which you have completed your engineering,features among the FOUR subjects allowed in this exams.
::: COMPLETE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :::
# Nationality:You must be a citizen of India,
or,You must be a Subject of Nepal or Bhutan,
or,You must be a Tibetan refugee settled permanently in India before 1962.
# Age:You must be 21 to 30 Years of age.However,the upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for the SC/STs and by 3 years for the OBC candidates.
# Educational Qualifications:You must hold a degree of engineering from a recognized university in any of the four following streams.
*ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERING.
*MECHANICAL ENGINEERING.
*CIVIL ENGINEERING.
*ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING.
-The number of attempt are not restricted for any candidate provIded he satisfies the age criteria.
IF YOU ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THE UPSC EXAMS,THEN YOU CAN DEFINITELY APPEAR FOR THE EXAMS CONDUCTED BY THE STATE COMMISSION.

Of-course you are eligible for IES Exam after completing B.Tech (E&T).
Your Degree belongs to a Recognized University of UDC, Most probably it is also recognized by IGNOU.
Hence, your degree is valid and you can apply for any other state exams.

IES stands for indian engineering services, and you are eligible for IES conducted by UPSE.
Yes ur degree is valid for other state exam also,but you have to mention as u are from which state.

yes you are eligible for ies examination. your univevrsity is also ugc recognised so you can also apply for the exams in other states.
