Basic streams/subjects in IAS exam for B.E (ECE) graduates?

SIR,
Am BE ,ECE graduate student.can i attend the IAS examination?what are the basic streams in IAS by my branch ECE

According to me you need to choose the subjects from the options that you have the best knowledge because it all depends on the interest, because if there is interest then you must qualify the examination by choosing the subjects.
As you said that you are a BE ECE graduate then you can choose the subjects that is totally related to the same because if you choose the subjects that is not good then you can never qualify the mains as knowledge is required to write anything related to the topics.
If you like to apply for the civil services examination then you need to have the following qualification.
You must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised university.
Your age neess to be 21 to 30 years for the same.
There will be some age relaxation like 5 years for the SC/ST and ex servicemen.
3 years for the OBC and defence personell suffered in war.
Examination pattern will be like this.

_MAINS.
CSAT stands for the civil services aptitute test.
This is also known as preliminary examination into this there will be 2 papers of general studies.
Both the examination will consist of the 200 marks each .
MAINS examination is only allowed to those who qualify the CSAt examination, so if you have preperation to qualify the CSAt then you need to also prepare for the MAINS examination.
Into the mains examination there will be 9 papers and all papers will consist of 2000 marks .
After qualifying the MAINS examination there will be the personality test.
That will be of 300 marks.
