    Hi Aspirant,


    Of course friend, you can apply for the Civil Service exam to be appointed at the post of IAS exam.

    IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service.

    UPSC conducts the recruitment for the post of IAS through Civil Service exam.

    Through Civil Service exam you can also apply for IAS, IPS or IRS.

    Civil service exam is conducted at all India level.


    Eligibility conditions

    To apply for civil service exam you should have graduation degree in any branch form recognized board.

    You can apply in final year of graduation.

    Age should be between 21 to 30 years

    SC/ST candidates can apply till the age of 35 years

    OBC candidates can apply till the age of 33 years.

    You must be the citizen of India.


    Number of attempts

    General candidates: 4 attempts

    SC/ST candidates : no limit

    OBC candidates: 7 attempts


    Important dates

    Notification date: 2/2/2013

    Last date of application: 4/3/2013

    Exam date: 19/5/2013


    You can apply for the civil service exam through Online and offline application form

    Application fee: Rs. 100.

    Payment mode: Net banking, Credit card, Debit card, CRF stamp

    Yes you should know that according to UPSC board rules any graduate can apply for Indian Administrative Services exams means you are 100% eligible to appear for IAS exam and there is no criteria about the subject means any stream graduate who have secured at least 50% marks in degree or having any other equivalent qualification as - 3 years diploma course after 10+2 can apply but the university or Institute should be recognized then your degree would be considered as legal under the government and your age should be between 21-30 years and relaxation in age as per 5 years for SC/STs and Ex-Servicemen, 3 years for OBCs and 10 years for PWD Candidates.

    You can only appear in Civil Services Exam if you satisfy the basic eligibility criteria like

    Age Limit:
    General 21-30 yrs
    SC/ST 21-35 yrs
    PH 21-40 yrs

    Educational Qualification:
    The candidates with a degree from any of the recognized universities can apply for the UPSC Exams. Final Year Students can also apply.

    Number of attempts:

    General 4
    OBC 7
    PH 7
    SC/ST No Limit

    Nationality:
    The candidate must be the citizen of India.

    Restrictions set by UPSC:
    A successful candidate already recruited into the Indian Administrative Service or Indian Foreign Service, continuing to be a member of the same will be held ineligible to appear for further examinations.

    Yes a BDS Doctor is also eligible to appear for Civil Services Exam(CSE).

    UPSC CSE is conducted every year to make recruitments to 24 services/posts.
    It is conducted in 3 stages viz. CSAT exam,Mains Exam,Interviews.
    One must clear the CSAT Exam to be eligible to appear in the Mains Exam.

    Eligibility for CSE :

    Age Limit :
    General Category-21-30yrs
    OBC-21-33yrs
    SC/ST-21-35yrs

    Educational Qualification :
    A Degree in graduation in any stream from a UGC recognised Univesity.
    Final year appeared/appearing candidates can apply on provision.

    Since you have a M.B.S.S. Degree you are eligible to appear.

    General Category-4 times
    OBC-7 times
    SC/ST-Unlimited times

    yeah sure you can apply for CIVIL SERVICE IAS EXAMS.


    IAS stands for INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE .
    ITS conducted by UPSC once time in a year.


    IAS ELIGIBILITY:-

    >> you should have to passed graduate/ final year appearing in any stream from the recognized university.

    >> you must be an indian.


    AGE LIMITS:-

    age should be 21 to 30 years.

    AGE RELAXATION:-

    age relaxation for obc 3 years, for sc/st 5 years.



    NO OF ATTEMPTS:-

    general = 4
    obc = 7
    sc/st = no limits

    Yeah a bds is a graduate degree holder so he is eligible to write ias exam.the guidelines are:-

    1.ias(indian administrative service)exam is conducted by upsc twice in a year.

    2.a graduate or a final year degree candidate from a recognized university in any discipline can write ias.

    3.his/her age must be within 21 years to 30 years age relaxation for obc 21 years to 33 years,s/c st 21 years to 35 years.

    4.a gen. Candidate can get 4 chances to clear ias and a obc candidate get's 7 attempts, st/sc no limit.

    5.candidate must be the citizen of india.

    So, under above condition a bds is eligible for ias only main subject's to choose from the lists given by the upsc authority.

    Hello

    YES YOU CAN APPLY FOR THE IAS.

    The IAS is conducted by the UPSC and the educational qualification required to apply in the IAS is graduation from any stream from any recognized university.

    The BDS is a bachelor degree course,and you are definitely eligible for the IAS exams.
    Although the subjects that you will have to study are completely different from those that you studied in your graduation.You will have to study the subjects after related to the Indian history,Indian culture and the languages (local ,the national) all in one word a complete different syllabus from your graduation.

    Hi,

    Yes a BDS doctor is eligible to give IAS exam, if he fufills age criteria also.

    IAS exam is conducted by UPSC every year an it is known as CSAT - Civil Services Aptitude Test.

    Eligibility Criteria for CSAT -

    Qualification-
    Minimum graduation from a recognised university.

    Age -
    Not below 21 years, not above 30 years.

    ( 3 years relaxation for OBC and 5 years relaxation for SC/ST)

    So, as you have a bachelor's degree so you fulfill the qualification criteria and if you are under the required age also, then you are eligible to apply gor IAS exam.

    yes my dear friend you are perfectly eligible for civil services exams
    as the only criteria in education is a passed graduation degree and
    B.D.S stands for bachelor in dental sciences so that means it is a graduation
    degree so you are eligible

    age limit...
    for general---21 yrs to 30 yrs of age
    for obc---21 yrs to 33 yrs of age
    for sc/st---21 yrs to 35 yrs of age

    educational qualifications...
    the candidate should have a graduation degree from any recognized university

    Yes sure you are eligible for applying in IAS.As anyone who is graduate can give the exam and you hold the degree so you are eligible.
    The age limit are:
    1.for general category 21-30 yrs
    2.for obc category 21-33 yrs
    3.for sc/st category 21-35 yrs

    And for your info the last date to apply for it is 4th march 13..

    Graduate in any discipline is eligible to apply for the civil services examination, so there is no need to worry about the same .
    there are some criteria that you must follow so that you should not face any difficulty while you apply for the same.

    Please see the details before you apply these are as follows:
    1) you must be 21 to 30 years of age to apply for the examination, special age relaxation for those who are in the SC/ST 5 years and OBC 3 years.

    3) you must be an indian by citizenship.
    4)selection procedure invilves two steps.
    a) written test.
    b) personal interview.
