Hello my dear Friend ...
ECE is a very good stream ... There is a Lot of scope in IAS
The best Subjects might be ..
Preliminary is common for the All Discipline candidates
In the Main exam you must appear for the 9 subjects
Apart from ....General Essay
English Language
General Studies
Indian Languages ...etc.,
You can have the ECE core subjects ..
And the Optional Subjects might be ..
Mathematics and Statistics
Political Science
International Relations
Two Engineering Subjects
Public Administration ...etc,
VERY GOOD LUCK
hi
as you are from the engineering ECE stream, you can even chose ECE as your mains subject.
because electronics and communication engineering is in the list of the subjects that can be chosen for the mains. and as you have already studied it for 4 years already, you should go on with the same subject as it will be less difficult for you to prepare for it comparatively to the other subjects. if you chose any other subject, of which you do not have any knowledge, then you need to start that subject from ground zero. but in case you chose ECE as your subject, then you wont be having much of a difficulty while preparaing for the exam.
gud luck
