Eligibility Criteria For NDA:

1. 12th with Math and Physics from recognized board or university.
2. Your age must be within 16.5 years to 19 years.
3.only unmarried male candidates can apply.

For CDS,You must be a graduate.

You can not apply for NDA now.You are over age for NDA. The age limit for NDA is 16.5-19years but the age limit is at the time of commencement of training after selection.
You will be eligible for CDS but only while in Final year of Graduation or in Final year of Graduation. You can not apply now as you are just in 1st year.Prepare hard for CDS and appear in Final year.
There are 4 wings of CDS- IMA,OTA,INA and AFA.
IMA and OTA requires Graduation from any stream to be eligible.
AFA requires one to be a graduate from any discipline but must have Physics and Maths at 12th level.
The age limit for IMA is 19-24years,OTA 19-25years,AFA 19-23years and INA 19-22years.

dear you can apply for nda examination if your age is not more than 19, since the educational qualification required for nda examination is 10+2 and the age limit for nda examination is 16.5 to 19 years.
but you cannot apply for cds examination right now since the minimum educational qualification required for cds examination is a graduaiton degree in any field from an ugc recognised university. the age limit for cds examination is 19 to 25 years.
you can apply for cds examination after completing your graduation. start preparing from now onwards.

If you are 19 years old B.Sc Candidates, then you are not Eligible for NDA exam.

But you can apply CDS exam in the final year of B.Sc degree or Complete graduation degree.

To join NDA exam, you must be passed 12th standard from a Indian recognized university.

Your age should be between 16.5-19 years.

You must be unmarried male and Indian citizen.

But after graduation degree, you can apply CDS exam to join Defense Services.

Both NDA s well as CDS exam is conducted by UPSC twice in a year.

To join CDS exam, Your age should be between 19-25 years.

It is very good to see that you want to join Indian defense.

The age of the candidates are calculated according to the starting date of the batch.

The age limitation of the NDA exam is 16.5-19 years and thus you are not eligible to apply for it as you are already of 19 years.

For CDS the minimum age is 19 years and the maximum age varies according to defense wing.><Age of the candidates should be:-

• 19-25 years for OTA

• 19-24 years for IMA

But need to have a graduation degree in any stream to apply for the CDS exam.

• Both National defence academy (NDA) examination and combined defence services (CDS) is conducted by UPSC for entering into Defence sector.
• Considering the eligibility criteria of both examination and the details you have mentioned, you are not allowed to appear in both examination.
• The reason behind it is, the age limit prescribed for NDA exam is 16.5 years to 19 years.
• Since you already attained the age of 19 years, you can't apply for it.
• For cds, graduation is minimum required, so only being in B.sc Ist year doesn't make you eligibile.

If you have completed 19 years then sorry you are not eligible for NDA exam. You can apply for NDA with 19 years of age because the required age for NDA exam should be in between 16.5 to 19 years.

You now have to complete your Graduation and then apply for CDS examination. So study well on your Graduation and prepare for CDS exam along with it.

If you are interested in Non officer posts then you can apply for them as the age limit for non officer posts are till 21 years. There are many non officer posts in Indian Army , Indian Air Force and Indian Navy. If you are interested then apply for it.

Otherwise you can study Graduation and then apply for CDS exam if you are only interested in Officer level posts.

The selection in CDS will be based on the written exam, SSB and medical examination. So start your preparation form today itself.

sorry dear this year you can't apply for NDA and CDS exam. for NDA you need 12th and your age should be within 16.5 years to 19 years. you have not attained the age of 19 years in the year of exam.

and for CDS exam you need to complete or studying in final year of graduation from recognized college or university. so being in B.Sc first year you can't apply for CDS exam you can only apply for CDS exam in final year.

UPSC conduct CDS exam for the posts in Indian Defence. through CDS you can join INA, IAF, IMA and OTA. UPSC conduct CDS exam two times in a year.

your question is confusing here you are not clearly wrote that if you complete 19 or 18+,but i tried to give you satisfaction here.

if you are 18+ (means 19 or below) only than you will be eligible according to the age criteria and second thing about your qualification than it is sufficient because there are only requirement of higher secondary and you had it so no need to worry about your educational requirements.

but these are not enough for a candidate wishing to apply for NDA ,it means you have to satisfy the other essential requirements also to become eligible for the same.

this is a very important examination to become sure about your job with your education ,after clearing the examination what course you are offered it is depend on your choice of preference at the time of filling application form

there is a three or four years degree course and after that you will be appointed as a officer

Yes you can apply for NDS exam.because the age limit for NDS is 16.5 to 19. But you must be Indian.you qualified in 12th standard.the candidate must be unmarried male candidate.then the CDS exam is eligible for unmarried male candidate.the minimum age limit is 19.

after completing your graduation then will you written on this exam.not yet.

As you have mentioned in the query that you are in first year of bachelor's degree in science and your age is 19 years ,so to be very frank you are neither eligible for the NDA exams nor for the CDS exams due to the following limitations:

>>For the National defense academy exam ,the upper age limit is 19 years .

>>The minimum academic qualification required for the Combined defense services is bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university .Final year graduation candidates can also apply for the exam.

But as I mentioned above ,you can appear for the CDS exam during your final year.

For Indian Naval academy ,bachelor's degree in engineering/technology is need to apply for the exam.The age limit is 19-22 years.

>>For Airforce academy ,the age limit is 19-23 years and mathematics and physics at 10+2 level is compulsory .

>>For IMA it is 19-24 years and for the OTA it is 19-25 years.

Both male and female with marital status unmarried can apply for the exam.

no my dear friend, you cannot apply for the NDA exam as the eligibility criteria for giving the exam is that you should be 12th appeared or passed and your age should be in between 16.5-19 years
As you are already 19 years old, therefore you need to check yourself with the age factor, as you have mentioned that you have already crossed 19, therefore you are not eligible

You have no chance of applying for NDA examination.

The maximum age permitted for NDA is 19 years at the time of starting of your training and thus at the time of applying your age should be below 18 years.

For CDS, you are fulfilling the age criteria but graduation from any recognized university is mandatory for applying for CDS.

You can apply for it when you will be in the final year of your graduation when you can expect your result to be declared before the interview.

CDS is conducted twice a year and you can apply for it through UPSC website.
