The eligibility criteria for the Naval and Air force Academy, Maths and Physics are necessary subjects for CDS. The educational qualification of cds exam is:

for air wing u ought to have pcm for technical. a bio student can go in medical field in different forces
dear friend if you want to join indian army through CDS then ther is no such criteria you can apply if you have completed your graduation or in the final year of graduation whatever may the subjects you are studying but if you wish to apply for navy or airforce than you should have physics and maths at intermediate level ok buddy
Dear student,
Its very important to have PHYSICS and MATHEMATICS at the +2(intermediate) level to be eligible to apply for the CDS exams.
If you meant to say, that biology was your main subject, and maths was an additional, then you can surely apply.
BUT,if maths was NOT included in the list of your subjects at the intermediate level, then sorry but you are not eligible to apply.
You can definitely try for the other fields,BUT NOT THIS.
Good luck !!
for I.M.A & OFFICER'S TRAINING ACADEMY: degree of any stream can apply
for INDIAN NAVEL ACADEMY: degree in Engineering for CDSE & degree in Engineering or B.Sc (with physics or maths) for NCC entry.
for AIR FORCE ACADEMY: degree (with maths & physics in 10+2 level) or B.E
a biology student can apply for cds but he should be a graduate and he can apply only for ota short service, but if you have maths in you intermediate youy can apply for air force ,navy, also.
Hi dear
The CDS (Combined Defense Services Exam) has different minimum academic eligibility conditions for different academy's.
The academic eligibility criteria for them is:-
For IMA and OTA :- Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
For Naval Academy :- Degree in Engineering
For Air Force Academy :- Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.
So you will be eligible for IMA and OTA if you also satisfy the other eligibility conditions.
yes dear if you want to apply for the CDS then you need to complete your graduation with maths and physics....because in CDS exam question paper with consists maths paper and also question related to physics will also be there so if you have these subjects then only you can apply for the upsc exam...so yes it is necessary to have maths in class 12th as well as in graduation....good luck
dear aspirant the mathematics paper of the upsc Combined Defense Services Examination (CDS) is of 10th level. it is not necessary to have mathematics as subject in graduation or in12th.
also according to the eligibility criteria for the upsc Combined Defense Services Examination (CDS) you just need to be graduate in any stream from a recognized university under UGC.
but if you are applying for this exam to join INDIAN AIR FORCE the you need physics ,mathematics as subjects in your graduation period.
