Sorry to say but you are not eligible for the CDS exam because a person havind gratuation degree or appear in the final year is only eligible for this .

No,a pre final year(that is 3rd year) B.Tech student is not eligible for appear in Combined Defence Academy(CDS) examination.But a final year B.Tech student is eligible for CDS.

Eligibility for CDS:

* Indian Air Force Academy(IAA) & Indian Naval Academy(INA):

-> Bachelor in Engineering degree from recognized University.Final year students can also apply.

-> Age must be in between 19 to 23 year as on 1st July of the year of Exam.

-> Must be a citizen of India.

-> Only unmarried male can apply for CDS.

* Officers Training Academy(OTA):

-> Graduation or equivalent degree from any recognized University.

-> Age must be in between 19 to 25 year as on 1st July.

-> Must be a citizen of India.

-> Both male and unmarried female candidate can apply for OTA

* Indian Military Academy(IMA):

-> Graduation degree from any recognized University.

-> age must be in between 19 to 24 year as on 1st July on the year of exam.

i am sorry to say that pre-final years B.Tech Students are not eligible to apply for CDS exam. you can only apply for CDS exam after completing or While Pursuing final year of your B.tech. CDS exam is conducted for the posts in INA, IAF, IMA and OTA. B.tech Engineering students can apply for all the posts.
from Now you have one year to apply for the exam. prepare hard to achieve your goal. keep preparing for the exams and try to solve previous year papers.
CDS exam is conducted by UPSC twice in a year. for CDS you must be physically and mentally fit. you must be Indian citizen.
for CDS INA your age should be within 19 years to 22 years. for IAF your age should be within 19 years to 23 years. for IMA your age should be within 19 years to 24 years. and for OTA your age should be within 19 years to 25 years. there is no relaxation for any category.

NO PRE-FINAL YEAR CANDIDATES CAN NOT APPLY FOR CDSE.

CDSE-Combined Defense Service Examination.
A Graduate entry in three wings of defense.

Indian Air Force.
Indian Navy.
Indian Army.

Indian Military Academy-Graduation from any stream.
Air Force Academy-Graduation from any stream with physics and maths in 10+2.
Naval Academy-B.SC(Physics and maths) OR engineering degree.
Officer Training Academy-Graduation from any stream.

So final year students can apply for CDSE,but that is no the case with pre-final year students.
You will have to wait till you reach final year in order to apply for CDSE

dear friend you cannot apply for CDS this year because education eligibility criteria for CDS examination is that candidate must have passed graduation at time of appearing for CDS examination.

Some other eligibility criteria for CDS examination are:-

I.You should be a citizen of India.

II.You should be unmarried.

III.Students in final year of their can also appear for this examination.

IV.The age limits for this examination for various forces are as follows:-
INA(Indian Naval Academy) 19-22 years
AFA(Air Force Academy) 19-23 years
IMA(Indian Military Academy) 19-24 years
OTA(Officers Training Academy) 19-25 years

V.The educational eligibility criteria are:-
IMA Graduation in any stream from a recognized university
AFA Graduation in any stream from a recognized university(with maths and physics as compulsory subjects in class 12th) or graduation in engineering stream from a recognized university
INA Graduation in engineering stream from a recognized university

So you have to wait for at least one year for appearing in CDS examination.

Pre final year candidates are not eligible for CDS.

No there is no chances for the prefinal year candidates for the CDs examination so it will be better for you to remove the idea to go for the CDS right now because there will be no chances right now.
If you want to go for the CDS examination then you need to have graduation in any discipline from a recognised university because graduation is the best thing to apply for the same.
If you are in the final year examination then also you can apply for the CDS exam, all you need to do is to show the proof to the verification at the time of the selection that you have completed graduation.
