    Can I apply for Indian Economics Services exam of UPSC after B.A General degree with economics? or Is it necessary to complete post graduation in economics for same?

    I completed my graduation in b.a general with economics. Now can i apply for indian economics services (ies) conduct by upsc 2013.
    Or i need post graduation for this...
    Plz suggest....

    hi.
    You are eligible for Indian Economics exam after post graduation.

    This exam is conducted by UPSC. Notification of this exam is given June month and exam is conducted in November month.

    Eligibility;
    -

    ----you must be post graduate from a recognized university in the following;-

    Economics/applied economics/business economics/econometrics

    ----Age limit for this exam is 21-30 years.

    --Age relaxation is given to reserved category students.

    No dear you can't apply now, you have to complete post graduation from any recognised university in economics/applied economics/business economics/econometrics.

    It is necessary that you will have to complete your post graduation.


    The minimum eligibility for the UPSC exams is that you must have to be post graduated from a recognized university of India.

    The age limit for the exam should be in between 21-30 years.

    The notification for the exam is published by UPSC in the month of JUNE.

    The exam is conducted in the month of November.

    I.E.S -- INDIAN ECONOMIC SERVICES


    As you have done your B.A " ECONOMICS " you need not worry


    You are from the ECONOMICS field ...

    So you are of course definitely eligible to apply for it

    You must have a minimum Graduation

    And the minimum age must be 21 years

    Maximum age is allowed up to 30 years

    You must be an Indian Citizen

    ## The minimum educational qualification required to apply for Indian Economic Services examination is POSTGRADUATION in
    ~>ECONOMICS
    ~>APPLIED ECONOMICS
    ~>ECONOMETRICS
    ~>BUSINESS ECONOMICS from recognised institution/university
    ## Age limit to apply for this exam is 21-30 years and the age relaxations are
    ->3 years for OBC candidates
    ->5 years for SC/ST candidates
    ->10 years for PH candidates
    ## The selection process of IES EXAMINATION is
    ~>written test
    ~>physical fitness test
    ~>personal interview
    ~>medical test
