I am an engineer by back ground. Currently, I am working as Inspector in Income Tax department. I want to prepare for Indian Economic services examinatio. They reqiure PG in economics. Below are my few concerns:

1. I am planning to take PG throgh DDE, Will UPSC accept PG through DDE?
2. How many seats are there for IES exam?
3.Will there posting be always in New Delhi?
4.Kindly suggest me the name of standard books for economics and general studies.
