    you can give the UPSC exams (union public service examinations) at the age of 31 only when:

    >>you belong to obc(21-33 years)

    >>you belong sc/st(21-35 years)

    >>you belong to physically handicapped category.(21-40)


    minimum educational qualification:

    >>graduation in any stream from a recognised university.

    The age limit for the UPSC examination is within 21-30years. The upper age limit is 03years for OBC candidates, 05years for SC/ST candidates. The chances for appearing the examination for general candidates is 04 attempts, 07years for OBC candidates. There is unlimited chances for SC/ST candidates. Thanks

    yes you can give upsc exams like cds,cpf,civil services etc if you are an obc applicant or you are a sc/st category aspirant.

    also if you are a government employee then you can get an age relaxation of 5 years .

    for obc aspirants the required age limit is 21-33 years while for sc/st category aspirants the required age limit is 21-35 years .

    this age criteria will be applicable only if you have completed your graduation from a recognized university under ugc.

    IT depends on the catergory, it you are from General then no you cannot attempt the exam
    The criteria is as below:

    The candidate must be a graduate from any recognized university. Even final year pursuing graduates can apply.

    A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, in the year of examination.

    The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable in the follwing cases:

    Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe: upto a maximum of five years.
    Other Backward Classes: upto a maximum of three years.
    State of Jammu & Kashmir : upto a maximum of five years.
    Defence Services personnel : upto a maximum of five years

    No of attempts allowed:
    1. General - 4 years
    2. OBC - 7 years
    3. SC/ST - no limit

    Hope that you are in good health and good state of mind.

    See,according to age criteria for UPSC exam:

    -->A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st
    August, in the year of examination.

    -->The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable in the following cases:

    ->Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe: upto a maximum of five years.
    ->Other Backward Classes: upto a maximum of three years.
    ->State of Jammu & Kashmir (Domiciled during the period from the 1st January, 1980 to 31st December,
    1989): upto a maximum of five years.
    ->Defence Services personnel : upto a maximum of five years.


    Now,if you belong to the General Category,then I'm sorry to say that you cannot sit in the exam as you have crossed the limit of 31years.
    But if you belong to any of the Reserved category,then you can surely go for it!

    Hello Dear,

    If you belong from general category then sorry to say that you crossed the above age limit that's why you are not eligible but if you belong from OBC or SC/ST category then you have few chance to appear this exam.

    Age Limit

    age should be 21 to 30 years
    age relaxation for OBC candidate 3 years
    age relaxation for SC/ST candidate 5 years

    candidate should be graduate from recognized university in any stream. marks or percentage doesn't matter.
    final year candidate are also give the exam

    Dear according to the rules of UPSC board for general category candidates that the candidate must be between 21-30 years in age and this rule is only for general category but if you belong to any other category as - Other Backward Classes, SC/STs, PWDs, EXSs then you will get the upper age relaxation at the condition of the Indian Government or standards which is - 5 years for SC/STs and Ex-Servicemen, 3 years for OBCs and 10 years for PWDs so if you are in general category then you are not eligible to apply for this exam but if you belong to other categories then you have chances to apply for this exam easily and you can apply in 2013.

    Candidates must hold a degree or it's equivalent from a recognized university with at least 50% marks then he/she can apply for UPSC exams

    dear candidate the eligibility regarding age is not the same for all exams.

    age requirements are as follows.
    1.dear candidate you did not mention your category there are opportunities to do civil services if you belong to other than general category.

    2.as far as age is concerned for civil services fo upsc:gen within 30 years.obc:within 33 years.s/c s/t=within 35 years of age is eligible to give upsc exam.

    If a graduate or a final year candidate is allowed to write ias exam of union public service commission he/she to complete the age eligibility as per the norms.

    if you belong to general category then you can not give ias upse exm.
    Gen:21-30 years.obc:21-33 years,s.c/s.t:21-35 years.

    • Definately you can give the UPSC examination at the age of 31 years.
    • But for that you need to be from reserved category as per central government and have valid certificate for the same.
    • For general category students, the age limit comes to be 21 years to 30 years.
    • If you are from an obc category, the age limit here is 21 years to 33 years, which makes you eligible.
    • If you are from an sc/st category, the age limit is 21 years to 35 years, such that you are eligibile.
    • And if you are an physically handicapped then the upper age relaxations is given upto 10 years.

    You can only give UPSC Exam at age of 31 years if you are from reserved categories like OBC, SC/ST. If you are from General category then you are not eligible since the age limit for General category is 21 to 30 years.

    The Basic eligibility criteria for maximum exams are:
    The candidate should have a degree in any discipline from university recognized by UGC. Final Year students can also apply.
    The candidate should be Indian

    General category 21-30 years

    Sorry friend in the age of 31 years you can not apply for the civil service exam.

    The minimum age limit for the civil service exam is 21 years and maximum age limit is 30 years.

    So your age limit are more than 30 years.

    you can apply if you belong to reserve category.

    age relaxation for SC/ST + 5 years

    OBC 3 years.

    if you belong to SC/ST or OBC category then you can apply for the civil service exam.

    The age limit for the CSAT examination of the UPSC is within 21-30 years. The upper age limit for OBC is 03 years, for SC/ST is 05 years. So, if you are a general category candidate, then you can't appear for the examination. But if you are a reserved categories candidates, then you can appear for the examination.     hi
    you cannot give the upsc exam at the age of 31 being in the general category.
    But if you belong to the obc or the sc.st category then you are allowed to give the examination even at the age of 31 because a relaxation of 3 and 5 years is given to the obc and the sc/st category respectively.

    moreover, you also need to keep the number of attempts in mind.
    for general category, the number of attempts are 4, and that of obc is 7 and there is no restrction on the number of attempts for the sc/st category

    If you have OBC or SC/ST category and physically changer you are eligible for upsc exam.because the age limit is 21-33 for OBC,21-35 for SC/ST,21-40 for physically changer. The candidate must be graduate from recognized university.

    You are an General category, you not eligible on IAS Exam because upper age limit is 30 years.
    Otherwise you are BC/MBC/SC/ST/Physical abilitys are eligible on This exam.
    Age relaxation :
    21---- 33 years on BC/MBCS.
    21----35 Years on SC/STs.
    21----40 years on physical ability candidates.

    It depends on which category you belongs to.

    If you are a general candidate you are not eligible for appear in any UPSC examination.

    But if you belongs to SC/ST/OBC/PWD then you can apply for UPSC examinations.

    CATEGORY AGE LIMIT
    General Minimum- 21 year

    Maximum- 30 year
    OBC Minimum- 21 year.

    Maximum- 33 year.
    SC/ST Minimum- 21 year.

    Maximum- 35 year.
    Physically Disables Minimum- 21 year.

    Maximum- 40 year.

    It also depends on how many times you attempt for UPSC examination.

    For any general candidate you can at most attempts 4 times and 7 times for OBCs but no restriction for SC/ST and Physically disable candidates.

    If you belongs to any of the category then you can apply for the civil services examination so there will be no worry for the same if you are from any of the categories like SC/ST.
    OBC.
    EX servicemen.
    Physically handicapped.
    So for the same you should see the eligibility criteria for the same as follows-
    Eligibility criteria for the Civil services examination-
    Age should be 21 to 30 years of age.
    Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university can apply for the same.
    Age relaxation for the civil services examination is as follows-
    SC/ST 5 years.
    OBC 3 years.
    Ex servicemen 5 years.
    Disabled defence officer in army during war for commissioned officer 3 years of age relaxation.
    Examination pattern-
    CSAT stands foir the civil services aptitude test which is the first stage of the examination. It consist of 2 papers and both general studies of 400 marks total.
    MAINS examination is if you qualify the examination CSAT then called for the Mains examination.
    There will be 9 papers of 2000 marks .
    By qualifying the same candidates are called for the interview.
    Interview consist of 300 marks.

    its a good thinking to apply for IAS exam. IAS exam is also known as CSAT exam this exam is conducted by UPSC once in a year. after cracking the CSAT exam on the basis of merit you can find the post like IAS, IPS , IRS
    CSAt exam is the 3 step process
    1. PRELIMS exam
    2. MAINS exam
    3. INTERVIEW

    after clearing all three stage you can become an IAS officer

    YOu can not apply for upsc exam as you are 31 years of age. You can only apply if you are obc or st/sc. Check eligibility below

    the age limit for the upsc civil services examination is 21-30 years .
    and there is age relaxation for the SC/ST and the OBC category aspirants .
    for the SC/ST aspirants the age relaxation is 5 years while for the OBC category it is 3 years .
