You can not join Indian air force by getting recruited from any of the exam of UPSC as UPSC is conducting two main exam for recruiting which are National defence academy and Combined defence services, And for both of the exam you are over age that means you have crossed the limit of age decided by the UPSC. It is really a thing to dishearten you but it is true.

But, You have not mentioned your educational qualification there are few more exams that can help you in getting into the Indian air force at this age. I have given a detail about both the exams so have a look :-

1. You can still go for Air force Technical branch as an engineer as the age limit is 18-28 but the candidate must be engineer to go for this branch.
2. You can also go for Air force ground staff foe which the age limit is 18-27 years but for this you need a graduation degree with more than 60% marks.

you are not joining the IAF through upsc.

According to your age you are not eligible for the exam.

Under CDS exam you can enter the IAF.

The qualification is required for the IAF:-

For the Indian air force graduation in science stream form the recognized university.

The age limit for the exam:-

Indian air force age limit: 19 to 23 years

You have completed the 23 years old, now you are not eligible for the exam.

Now you can give the civil service exam which is also taken by the upsc in every year.

The qualification is required graduation in any stream from the approved university.

The age limit is the 21 to 30 years.

For Officer:


1. 16.5 - 19 years for NDA
2. 19 - 23 years for graduate individuals in flying branch
3. 18 -28 years for graduate individuals in technical branch
4. 20-23 years for graduate individuals in ground duty branch
5. 19-23 years for engineering graduate in flying branch
6. 18-28 years for engineering graduate in technical branch
7. 20-25 years for engineering graduate in ground duty branch
8. 18-28 years for post graduate individuals in technical branch
9. 20-25 years for post graduate individuals in ground duty branch

For Airmen:

1. 16-20 years for matriculation or below
2. 16-22 years for intermediate
3. 16-22 years for diploma qualificaion
4. 20-25 years for graduate
5. 20-28 years for post graduate


You can apply according the age limitation and your educational qualification

so sorry according to your age you can,t appeared for IAF exam.


IAF ELIGIBILITY:-


you should have to passed graduate from the recognized university.

age should be 19 to 24 years.

u must be an indian.

u must be unmarried.



but you can give civil service exam likes:-

ias
ies


because for these jobs age should be 21 to 30 years.

To join the IAF wing of the Defence Forces of India UPSC conducts following exams :

1.NDA & NA Exam-Age limit is 16.5yrs-19yrs

2.CDS Exam-Age Limit is 19-23yrs

There is no relaxation of age limits for any category.

Since you do not meet the elgibility criteria of Age limit for both these exams

you cannot apply and so you can not join the IAF.

SORRY ! you cannot join the IAF at the age of 27yrs through UPSC exams.
