My date of birth is June 6th 1991. Will I be eligible for it or not?

hi guys,to join the IAF.. in 2011 notification, eligibility criteria says born not earlier than 2nd july,1989, and in 2012 notification it says 2nd july 1990, so in 2013 it should beborn not earlier than 2nd july 1991 right? my birth date is June 6th 1991, so will i be eligible or not?i really want to join the iaf, so will just this date UPSC mentions going to affect my eligibility?

you can apply for Air force through UPSC NDA and CDS exam.
but For both NDA and CDS IAF exam you are over aged.
so, sorry to say that you can't apply for IAF exam.

Eligibility Criteria For NDA:

1. 12th with Math and Physics

2. your age must be within 16.5 years to 19 years.


Eligibility Criteria for CDS IAF exam:

1. Engineering degree.

2. your age must be within 19 years to 22 years.

Sorry to say that as far from the current evaluation

Yes you will be not eligible for the exam in 2013

As you will cross your age limit but you should not need to worry much

As you can go for the Indian Military Academy exam as well as Officer's Training Academy

But you have to write the Combine Defence Services exam for it

In which both these posts are including

Education Qualification:

-For the exam the candidate should be pass in degree

-For the IAF And Indian Naval the candidate should be pass with physics and maths at 12th level

-The final year candidates also can apply

Age Limits:

-For the officer's training academy 19-25

-For the IAF 19-23

-For the Indian Naval 19-22

-And for the IMA 19-24

No Limit

UPSC organises two examinations NDA and CDS that will give you entry in to the defence that is in army ,airforce and navy.

NDA stands for NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY.

CDS stands for Combined defence academy.

>>Both the examinations are organised twice every year.

Sorry dear,you are not eligible for any of the examinations like NDA and CDS that will give you entry in to the Indian air force as your age has crossed the limits of the requirements of this exam.

According to the UPSC norms :

for NDA ,the age limitations are from 16.5 to 19 years.

for CDS ,the age limitations is between 19 to 22 years.


donot get frustrated ,try for the civil services examinations .

YES IT IS VERY MUCH TRUE THAT YOU ARE NOT APPLICABLE FOR THE IAF.

The basic conception behind your non eligibility is that you can enter in to the IAF through two ways CDSE and AFCAT.
Now for applying in the both your age should be between 19 to 23 years(but at the time of commencement of course),your age will be more than 22 years 2nd July 2013
and that is what the most important factor,as the course needs nearly 1 year time to start,so you should be less than 22 years.

Hence your age limit does not really satisfies the necessary conditions.
