Can I join OTA if my eye sight is -1.25 and -1.20?

in the OTA or officer training academy only those candidates are eligible who fulfill the qualification and physical requirements.


For joining OTA the candidate must have 6/6 eye sight and must be a physically fit.

Dear Candidate,
-The minimum eye sight must permit 6/6 or 6/9 vision with or without glasses,so as to allow a candidate join the OFFICERS TRAINING ACADEMY.
-You must also meet all other Physical and Medical criteria such as Height,Weight,etc. So as to being completely eligible to join OTA.
-You must also qualify the written exams before getting in for the Physical Tests.
-You must be a Graduate,an Indian Citizen and of 20-25 yrs of age,before being eligible to appear for the exams.

For OTA, the eyesight should be normal i.e., 6/6 or 6/9. You have also to qualify other eligibility regarding the height and weight. Best of Luck.

dear OTA has physical standards requirements and if you wish to join then you have to full fill all those requirements...
to join OTA candidate must have eye sight 6/6 with or without glasses so if you wish to join OTA then wear the required powered glasses so that your eye sight becomes 6/6 .
after this you can surely join OTA...

to join any of the armed forces you have to meet the physical requirements of that particular field.according to the UPSC to join OTA your eye sight should be 6/6 ....so now you are not eligible for OTA ...

OTA: Stands for the Officer's Training Academy

For the Ota exam you have to write the upsc

Common Defence Services exam and upsc is conducting the exam

every year and the exam is one of the difficult

And also their is written test first objective type

And the candidates who passed in the written test

will be called for the ssb test for general Intelligence and Mental ability

The Qualification Required for the OTA Exam:

-The candidate should be pass in Graduation from a recognized Indian university

-The candidate age should be between 19-25

-For the exam both the male as well as female candidates allowed

-The candidate should be a citizen of India
