yes if your university is affected by goverment and ur course will be called as degree . then and only then u can attend UPSC's any exam otherwise not.

that was depend on ur universitys program if they give degree certificates for that then u can do it nicely .

Ofcourse, a graduate in any descipline can give IAS/ IPS exam, provided that they fulfill age criteria as well.

IAS exam is conducted by UPSC every year and it is known as CSAT - Civil Services Aptitude Test.

Eligibility Criteria for IAS-

Qualification-
Minimum graduation from a recognised university.

Age -
Should be between 21 years and 30 years.

( 3 years relaxation for OBC and 5 years relaxation for SC/ST)

Stages of IAS exam-

IAS exam is cleared in three stages -

1. Civil Services Preliminary Examination

2. Civil Services Main Examination

3. Interview and final Selection

YES A NIFTIAN CAN APPLY FOR THE IAS,IPS.

The educational qualification of the IAS,IPS is graduation degree from any stream from any mode of education.
You after the degree will be a graduate and hence applicable for the IAS,IPS etc.

It might appears to you a little odd,but the fact is that when you will study for the IAS,IPS both the posts will have its own syllabus and the subjects which is prescribed by the UPSC itself.

There will be hardly any subject(subjects in your fashion technology curriculum) that you will have to study while preparing for the IAS,IPS.All the subjects is related to the Indian culture and the Indian administration.Subjects like Indian history,Indian geography,political science etc.

Hence every body have to start from the zero when preparing for the IAS,IPS exams.
