that is depend on in what type of exam u want to attend...but as per my knowledge i can say that if u r freshersh in GK then u have to choose following books that will really improve ur knowldge.
1. genral knowldge(navneet edition)
2. and u have so many news editon like world inbox and world news.. this all will help u the most for GK and current affairs.. for india and world also..

Before giving information about the books,I would like to tell you should do the following things other books reading so that you have good command over the general studies:
1.Please read the news papers like The Hindu,The times of India daily.
2.Watch good and informative news channels
3.Read various type of magazine like CSR,PD etc
Now coming to your books
