    Yes, offcourse candidates wants to give UPSC exams n he/she interest in management subjects then sure non MBA students prepare for management optional for UPSC exams.

    yes you can prepare for Management subject if you are not a MBA student. There is no restriction on candidates on Optional Subjects. It does not matter that you have studied the Subject in your academic carrier or not.

    Examination Pattern for UPSC Civil Service Exam :

    1. Preliminary Exam : This is an objective type examination in which you would have to be qualified in two different papers which are as - General Studies and CSAT and each paper has 200 marks maximum

    2. Mains Examination : This is a conventional type examination in which you will have to qualify different 9 papers and you will have to choose any two subjects from the list for your mains exam and each your selected subject has 2 papers and General Studies paper also has 2 and qualifying in each is necessary and you may choose any two subjects from the following list :

    Agriculture
    Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science
    Anthropology
    Botany
    Chemistry
    Civil Engineering
    Commerce and Accountancy
    Economics
    Electrical Engineering
    Geography
    Geology
    History
    Law
    Management
    Mathematics
    Mechanical Engineering
    Medical Science
    Physics
    Philosophy
    Political Science and International Relations
    Psychology
    Public Administration
    Sociology
    Statistics
    Zoology

    If you are from another stream and wants to choose management as your optional subject with any one other then you may choose it and you are independent to choose any two subjects from the above list

    Interview Process : If you qualify prelims and mains exam then you will be called for personal interview process and it has 300 marks and after qualifying the interview process you would become an IAS officer

    If you wish to apply for this exam then you should have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and your age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which is - 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates

    You can apply for this exam between - 02-02-2013 to 04-03-2013 and the preliminary exam of the UPSC civil service would be conducted at - 19-05-2013

    You have very less time and you need to go any coaching and start your study hardly and prepare hard and try to give at least 15 hours from starting of your study if you really want to crack this exam

    yes its your choice you can take management subject being a non MBA student. there is no restriction to select any subject.

    yes friend non MBA students can choose the Management optional subject for the preparation of civil service mains exam.

    There is no such kind of restriction in Civil Service exam.

    You can choose any subject as per your desire in the list of optional subject which is valid by the CSE.
    In this exam paper you can choose the subject of your interest.
