Dear getting dropped of one year while graduation does not effect the eligibility criteria for competitive exams so you should take this thought out of your mind that you are not eligible for any defense related examination, if you have got gap then also you are 100% eligible to apply for defense service examination but your graduation should be completed from a reputed university and must have a proper reason of that gap which you have taken while pursuing graduation and you can apply for - Combined Defense Service Examination

There will be following sections under this examination that requires different eligibility criteria

Indian Military Academy : Candidate should have graduated from a recognized university in any subject. Age of the aspirant should not be less than 19 years and more than 24 years

Indian Naval Academy : Your qualification should be completed as degree in Engineering from a reputed university and your age should be between 19-22 years

Indian Air Force Academy : To be eligible for AFA, your graduation should be completed from a recognized university with physics and mathematics as mandatory subjects at graduation level or you should have passed graduation in any discipline of engineering. Age should be minimum 19 years and maximum limit of age is 23 years

Officers Training Academy : Any discipline graduates who have completed their bachelor's degree from a recognized institute/university/college may apply for OTA and age limits are - 19-25 years

Note : All candidates who are pursuing final year of graduation or appearing for final year/semester exam or being awaited for the result of final exam are also eligible to apply

There is not relaxation criteria in upper age by the board means no category candidate will be eligible to claim upper age relaxation at any situation

Examination Pattern for - IMA, INA and AFA - All papers will be conducted in objective type pattern

    General Knowledge - 100 Marks
    English Language - 100 Marks
