Friend, please note that# Candidate who are colour blinds are not eligible for following UPSC Examinations : * NDA Examination * CDS Examination * CPF Examination# Also in the Civil Service Examination, colour blind candidates are not eligible Indian Police Service (IPS).# But a colour blind candidate is considered fully eligible & fit for Indian Administration Service (IAS).# As far as IAS Examination is concerned, there is no much emphasis given on physical & medical fitness level as required for IPS, NDA, CDS exams etc.
yes, you are eligible for IAS exam:
because IAS have nothing much to do with PHYSICAL and MEDICAL fitness.
but you may not be able to apply for some of the civil exams as:
1.NDA
2.IPS
3.CDS
etc.
Ya you can appear to IAS exam. They don't require any physical fitness but have better mental fitness.
Good luck..........
heyy..dont worry, you are completely eligible for IAS exam & may be you'll get some benefit of handicapped quota...all the best.
