I have defective eyesight i.e. -3.5 for both eyes. Should I go for laser treatment or use contact lens to clear medical test of IPS recruitment?

i had eyesight -3.50 for both eyes , what should i do for pass in medical test to be selected for ips . Should i go for laser treatment or contact lenses ?

You are not Eligible for IPS exam because This exam requires some basic physical standard.

Eligibility;-

--You must be passed a graduation degree from a recognized university.

----Your age must be lies in between 21-30 years.

----You must be Physically as well as mentally fit.

Physical Standard;-

Height;-

Male 165 cm and ST (not the SC/ OBC) � 160 cm

Female 150 cm (general also) & ST (not SC/ OBC)- 145 cm

Chest :

Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.

Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm.

Eye sight :

6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye. Near vision J 1 for good eye. J2 for worst eye. The correction is by lenses only. High standard for the Colour-blind test. No inherent night blindness. Vision should stereoscopic.

i think u shoud go to laser treatment because contact lens will be a temproarry solution for it not a for long a time

Friend, it is required that candidate should be perfectly physical fit in all respect. Candidate should have eyesight of 6/6 in better eye and 6/9 in worse eye. As far as contact lens is concerned, it will be easily trace while medical examination. So contact lens is not advisable. But the option of laser treatment is looking good. Before going for laser treatment, you should consult any well reputed Opthalmologist in this regard and seek his advice regarding pros and cons of laser treatment.
