This N.D.A exam is conducted by the " Union Public Service Commission " ..

This exam is held TWICE a year

So they are named as ..

For this the minimum qualification must be " 12th " class from a recognized university

And the minimum age must be " 16.5 " years

Maximum age is allowed up to " 19 " years

And ONLY UNMARRIED MALE candidates are eligible to appear for the exam

Girls are not eligible to appear for the exam

To join NDA a candidate must appear in entrance exam conducted by union public service commission ,New Delhi, twice a year.

Exam which is held twice a year, is generally in the month of March and August.

Eligibility criteria is :

1. age - 16.5 to 19 years
2. academics - 10+2 with physic and math.
3. marital status - unmarried
4. nationality - Indian
5. the minimum acceptable height is 157.5 cms.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy. The exam is conducted by UPSC twice in a year named NDA-I and NDA-II. The exam is conducted for only male candidates only. No female is allowed to write the exam. NDA exam is conducted for the posts in Air Force, Navy and Army.

NDA exam is conducted in two phases:
1. Written
2. SSB



for Air Force and navy you need 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or equivalent and for Army you need 12th in any discipline from recognized board or College . you can also apply for the exam while pursuing in 12th.




there is Physical test which is also a important part of it. you must be highly Physically and Mentally fit. after written exam physical test is being conducted. and you have to clear the test. In this they can ask for race, weight lifting, or walk through ropes or any other task.


for NDA your age must be within 16.5 years to 19 years. there is no relaxation for any category.


In NDA you have wide future. after clearing the exam and other procedure you will be appointed. you will get high pay scale and lots of facilities.

for giving the NDA exam you need to be a 12th class passed/appeared student and your age should be in between 16.5-19 Years.
Moreover if you are appearing for the air force wing then it is compulsory for you to be having physics and mathematics as your main subjects in class 12th.
For applying for the NDA exam you need to go and register yourself on the upsc official website and there you need to follow up the procedure as stated.

paper I is mathematics of 300 marks
paper II is the general ability divided into two parts:-
Part A is english of 200 marks
Part B is general knowledge of 400 marks
So total 900 marks
