    Are ETC(Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering) graduates eligible for Engineering services exam or not?

    electronics & instrumentation is applicable for upsc/ies/ifs or not?

    yes , E &T engineers are eligible for IES examination held by UPSC . In the previous years it was not included in the IES but since it has also been added as an eligible breanch for IES examinatiion.

    hi,etc i.e electronics and telecommunication student can apply for ies exam.IES stand for indian engineering services for that exam any engineering graduated student can apply.for that exam age limit is, candidate not less than 21 and not more than 30 years.in above conditiones those candidate mentioned that are able to apply for ies exam.ies officers have more power and salary also.

    UPSC (Union Public Service commission) conducts Combined Medical Service Examination (CMSE) for the rank of medical officer in various Government Departments like Railways, Central Health Services, Municipal Corporation of Delhi etc.


    The selection through Combined Medical Service Examination is through two stages:


    Written Test: The written test is of 500 marks while personality test is of 100 marks.
    Personality Test: Only the candidates who qualify the written test are called for personality test. The personality test is of 100 marks.

    Important Dates(Tentative):

    Release of Notification: September 1st week, 2009
    Last Date of submission of Application forms: October 1st week, 2009
    Date of Combined Medical Service Examination: January 3rd week, 2010

    Details of Examination:

    Written Test:

    Paper 1 examination (2 hours):
    General Ability: 30 Questions
    General Medicine: 70 Questions
    Pediatrics: 20 Questions

    Paper 2 examination(2 hours):
    Surgery: 40 Questions
    Gynecology & Obstetrics: 40 questions
    Preventive & Social Medicine: 40 questions

    Dear Applicant,
    -Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering students are absolutely eligible to appear for the Indian Engineering Service[ IES ] exams,conducted annually by the June.
    -You will also have the advantage to opt for this subject during the IES exams.
    -The ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA of the IES exams are mentioned below-
    {01} NATIONALITY.
    You must be a citizen of India,
    or,You must be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan,
    or,You must be a Tibetan refugee settled permanently in India,before 1962.
    {02} AGE LIMITS.
    You must be 21 To 30 Years of age.
    However,there is a relaxation of 5 years for the SC/STs and that of 3 years for the OBCs in the upper age limit.
    {03} EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS.
    You must hold a degree in Engineering,from a recognized university,or be a final year student in the same.
    However,with whatever subject the you complete your engineering,you will have to opt from within the following FOUR subjects to appear the exam-
    *Civil Engineering.
    *Mechanical Engineering.
    *Electrical Engineering.
    *Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.
    -## IF YOU FULFIL THE COMPLETE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS,THEN YOU CAN DEFINITELY APPEAR FOR THE IES EXAMS.
    -## The exams are conducted in June,and the release of forms are notified in January.

    yes, it is already among one of discipline in which question paper is set by the UPSC however you have flexibility to choose among any four set of the branches to opt for the examination irrespective of your stream,all engineering students are eligible to appear as opting among any four branches for their written examination of engineering discpline

    eligibility
    -> choose among
    @ electrical engg.
    @ mechanical engg.
    @civil engineering
    @electronic & telecommunication engg.

    ->> age within 21-30 years having upper age relaxed accordingly

    ->>> INDIAN nationality is must.

    Yes, ofcourse you are eligible and for that you need your age in between 21 to 30 years

    Yes you are eligible for the Engineering Services Exam. Also you will be glad to know that Electronics and telecommunication engineering is one of the four subjects for the Exam.
    That means you will definitely have a upper hand over the guys who are from different engineering stream and are taking Electronics and telecommunication engineering to write the exam.
    And as a graduate you are obviously eligible for the civil services exam provided you satisfy the age limit ( 21-30 years) and have degree from a recognised college.
