Hello, you can crack the exam of upsc. First of all you have to decide that in which exam you have to prepare for?? IAS exam i.e. Indian Administrative exam or ies i.e. Engineering services examination.

If you want to go for IES examination then it is necessary that you have to see the syllabus first and go for the study material of your university also. Now you write that you love history and geography, means you want to go for IAS examination. Because in IAS/IPS examination you can take these arts subjects.

The personal interview in upsc examination is quite different. But you can tell your occupation before interviewer. Best of luck.

    Dear friend,

seriousness depends upon the year you are targetting to appear.

if you are targetting next year then you should be very serious and start your preparation as early as possible.

you should atleast have of 1 year of study before appearing in the exam.

yes your experience will have an edge.make sure you answer all the questions they ask regarding your experience.

regarding your plan for higher studies is concerned you have to decide.first target your exam year.if you plan for next year then for time being dont join any master's course.if you target some 3 to 5 years later then you may join.

    all the best
